Ottawa Sun - - COMMENT -

The prime minister must be quite pleased with a recent Saudi Arabia reform that advances his feminist agenda on the world stage. While initially meeting with much resistance in his attempt to inject gender issues into Canada’s international trade negotiations, it now appears he’s making some progress. While other nations (China, India, U.S.A.) have not taken Canada seriously, the Saudis have relented and now require that Saudi women be informed by text message if their husband divorces them.

Not sure if it works both ways, but, hey, it’s a start! AL WILLEY EDMONTON

(Yeah, progress, all right. The women even get a website where they can inquire about their marital status. Good grief, Charlie Brown.)
