Words of Wisdom
Jo-anne Sheanh’s story “A Treasure Reclaimed (FebruaryMarch 2017) brought back memories of an even older autograph book owned by my mother. Born in 1892, her entries were dated between 1900-1905 but contained similar material including the sketches. One, however, was different, written by her cousin Bart, it read: “If when I get to Heaven and see not your smiling face, I’ll pack up my portmanteau and try the other place.”
