A Clever Way to ‘Re-cycle’
John Brownridge of Port Hope, Ont., says, “My old bicycle was still working fine, but I was tired of it. I put it out on the curb with a neighbourly sign reading, ‘Free—to a good home.’ A week later it was still there, and I was quite puzzled as to how to get rid of it. Someone once told me that lipstick is expensive because no one would buy it if it were cheap. I thought maybe the same principle applied to bicycles. I changed the sign to ‘$100 or best offer.’ It was stolen within the hour!”
