PLK still unbeaten

Penticton Lock and Key remained perfect after six games, but it was not easy.

Zico Pescada broke a 5-5 tie with 10 minutes left and PLK held off TC Auto Sales 7-5 in Bad Tattoo Brewery Masters Indoor Soccer League action Sunday at the Adidas Sportsplex.

Andy Burt scored twice and Alan Clarke, Gord McLaren, Don Russell and Dave Hewer also scored for PLK, which trailed 4-3 at halftime.

Pescada added two assists and leads the league with 28 points.

Peter Toth with two, Peter Ruocco, Phil Patenaude and Kevin Kothlow with his league-leading 17th goal scored for TCA (1-5-0).

In the other game, Darren Schimpf’s second goal with four minutes to go broke the tie and Theos edged Harvey-Lister-Webb 5-4.

Norm Peters also had two and Phil Nunes one for Theos (3-3-0).

Brian Johnston scored twice and assisted on the others by Stefan Lang and Reid Jenkins for HLW (2-4-0).

PLK will put their 6-0 record on the line as they face Theos Sunday at 10 a.m. in the last round of league play before the two-week Christmas break. HLW takes on TC Auto at 11:20 a.m.

CAPRI INSURANCE CO-ED LEAGUE: In Round 7 action, Delicate Bulls FC edged Investors Group FC 7-6, Greenwood Forest Products Calypso outlasted First Choice Window and Door Centre FC 10-8, and Riverside Liquor Go Bananas topped Omland Heal LLP 7-4.

MURRAY GAME MEN’S LEAGUE: On Thursday, the Over-35s beat The Hooligans 12-5 and Nomads FC downed Black Panthers 10-4.

On Tuesday, Penticton Liverpools FC thumped Blue Bucks FC 10-3, while PFC tied Oliver FC 7-7.
