Vees booing over-exaggerated

-

Dear editor: I have been very disturbed by the account of Vees fans booing our own great team.

I am a regular season ticket holder and sit with other regular season ticket holders. I have also spoken to other season ticket holders in other sections.

In my opinion the booing was grossly over exaggerated.

Most season ticket holders are loyal fans, that is why they buy season tickets.

I left five minutes early and so was not there when the booing happened, however, I have spoken to other season ticket holders and this is what they tell me: The regular season ticket holders in the club seats (behind the penalty box) Sections 110 and 109 and 108 did not boo the Vees. This would be the majority of season ticket holders.

The booing seemed to originate in Sections 111 and 105 and 106.

Now, these seats are most likely filled with occasional attendees who purchase their tickets on a casual basis.

Part of the blame for this must lie with Fred Harbinson, who went off half-cocked, and the article that was written claiming about 3,000 fans booed the Vees.

So enough already of bashing season ticket holders.

We support the Vees. I would suggest that the next time that booing occurs against the Vees for whatever reason, that all the season ticket holder stand and cheer as loud as they can in support of the Vees, successfully drowning out the naysayers that don’t care enough to buy season tickets.
