Dynamic duo leads Theos to lopsided win

Phil Nunes and Norm Peters were an unstoppabl­e combinatio­n in Bad Tattoo Brewery Masters Indoor Soccer League action Sunday at the Adidas Sportsplex.

Nunes racked up six goals and Peters logged four goals and two assists as Theos defeated TC Auto 12-5.

Harry Higson and Carlos Mendonca also scored and Rob Kroeker and goalkeeper Tom McGill each had three assists for the winners, who led 4-2 at halftime.

Mike Beliveau had a goal and three assists and Peter Toth, Joe Kandola and Rob Jackson also scored for TC Auto.

League scoring leader Zico Pescada netted four goals and four assists as Penticton Lock and Key downed Harvey-Lister-Webb 13-7.

Pescada has 77 points – 20 more than his closest rival Peters, who leads in goals with 38.

Paul Borba, Dave Hewer and Dave Crompton each scored twice and Gord McLaren and Andy Burt had solos for PLK, which led 4-1 at the break.

PLK (13-1-0) has already clinched first place with one game left in the regular season.

Herb Alex had a hat-trick and Reid Jenkins had two goals and two assists for HLW. Brian Johnston and Derrick Webb also found the net. def. Warren Parker.
