Stay away from this house, creeps

-

Dear editor: If a born loser breaks into your home (castle) under the present rules you should gather up your loved ones, leave all your valuable possessions and vacate your home and wait down the street a safe distance and call 911.

If this is after hours when most born losers ply their trade you will be put through dispatch in Kelowna or Kamloops or India who knows these days? And whilst you are on the blower the loser is sifting with his grubby hands through all your belongings, he is rifling through all that what you have worked for, he is going to steal as much as he can and sell it for his habit.

Or perhaps he isn’t such a bad guy and he only intends on burning your house down regardless if you are upstairs asleep in bed. Of course he will be high on drugs and that will be his successful defence in our injustice system and you can bank on that!

Well no, no, no, not in my world, not in my castle. The creep should know that given his intent there is a real good chance this will be his last venture.

He will be either blown away or he will be rendered useless, a basket case by a baseball bat, and contrary to the rule book my family would be my back up, my wife and kids would fight to the death. I pity the poor bastard who made the mistake of picking the wrong castle.

Oliver man Michael Guthrie has had enough of crime in his neighbourhood and is hosting a public forum Aug. 28, 6:30 p.m., at the community hall.

My first wife and I will be there, we might learn something.
