RCMP reaching for new heights

-

Dear editor: Re: “Officers decry ‘offensive limits’ on pot use planned by RCMP,” Herald, A1, Oct. 10

I guess it’s time for RCMP to get off their high horse and reach from a new high.

Perhaps a giraffe fed some weed could be the answer for cops to combat the prevention of tragedy, caused by Joe Blow driving high, while toking it up with weeds on wheels.

Imagine the RCMP musical ride being performed with all riders higher than a kite.

If a non-user believed that hygiene is a tall girl, just think how high Jean will appear after smoking a joint or two.

The biggest pot holes in legalizing Marijuana were created by ill-informed people who can’t tell the difference from A to a hole in the ground, in my opinion. Tom Isherwood

Olalla political parties to work together. I know this is a new way of thinking for many, and may threaten established parties and lobbyists on the left and right, but I think that’s a good thing.

I will be voting yes for proportional representation. Margaret Holm Penticton government. And, it was a rare occurrence, however, the no side would have you believe it’s an everyday occurrence. Mr. Thorpe doesn’t tell you that Christy Clark in 2012-13 had the B.C. legislature sit only 36 days out of 359. Did the world end?

Mr. Thorpe and his anti-electoral reform buddies would have you lose sight of the prize, an electoral system that gives each party the number of seats corresponding to its share of the popular vote.

The voters of B.C. should get what they vote for, not what Mr. Thorpe wants. Daryl Sturdy
