Twelve teams will battle it out at the annual Penticton Minor Hockey Associatio­n bantam tier 2 tournament today to Sunday with all four local arenas being utilized.

The host Penticton Vees are in the Knights Division along with Ridge Meadows, Semiahmoo and Calgary.

The Broncos Division features Okanagan Hockey Group (Penticton), West Kelowna, Langley and Nelson, while the Panthers Division has Kamloops, Trail, Prince George and Hollyburn.

Games get going today at 4:45 p.m. with OHG taking on West Kelowna at the South Okanagan Events Centre. Penticton plays its first game at 5 p.m. at Memorial Arena against Ridge Meadows.

Saturday’s slate starts at 6:30 a.m. with OHG in the first game against Nelson at 6:30 a.m. at Memorial. OHG also plays Langley at 1:30 p.m. at the SOEC.

The Vees play Semiahmoo at 10:30 a.m. at the OHS rink and Calgary at 3:30 p.m. at Memorial.

The three division winners and a wild-card (team with the best record of the remaining nine teams) qualify for the semifinals Sunday at 6:30 a.m. at Memorial and OHS. The championsh­ip game is at 1:15 p.m. at Memorial. The 11th-place game is at 6:45 a.m. at SOEC, 9th-place game at 8:45 a.m. at Memorial, 7th-place game at 9 a.m. at SOEC, and 5th-place game at 11 a.m. at Memorial.
