-

Chamber Music Kelowna is bringing internationally-acclaimed violinist Mark Fewer and harpsichordist Hank Knox to Kelowna to perform together in Bach Intime on Friday, Feb. 8.

Showtime is 7:30 p.m. at the Mary Irwin Theatre, Rotary Centre for the Arts.

Known for his versatility, Fewer has been described as “genre-bending” (National Post), “intrepid” (Globe and Mail), and “freaky good” (The Gazette). His performance career has seen him tour worldwide. He has been featured as soloist with symphony orchestras in Melbourne, San Francisco, Vancouver, Toronto, and is a member of the Smithsonian Chamber Players.

Fewer is a Juno and Prix Opus-winner and has been a featured guest with Stevie Wonder and his band.

Hailed internationally for his “colourful, kinetic performances,” Knox performs on harpsichord in concert halls, churches, museums, galleries and homes around the globe. A founding member of Montreal’s Arion Baroque Orchestra, Knox also regularly performs and tours with Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, Les Violons du Roy and l’Orchestre symphonique de Montréal.

Knox has released several recordings and teaches in the Early Music program at McGill University in Montreal.

Limited single tickets are still available for the concert and can be purchased either in person at the Rotary Centre for the Arts box office, by phone 250-717-5304 or online at rotarycentreforthearts.com.
