A great winter of gaming

- SASCHA HEIST

With 2019 here, it should be a great year for gamers no matter the system they choose. Starting in January, Kingdom Hearts 3 was launched on Xbox and PS4. In Kingdom Hearts 3 you will travel across Pixar and other Disney worlds creating a new experience in what should be one of the most colourful and fun games in the series.

Resident Evil 2 Remake made its debut in January and throws players onto the infested streets of Raccoon City. Players can expect a totally- upgraded experience with amazing visuals, a new camera and the tight controls of the last Resident Evil games. There’s even new content for players to explore and more than enough scares and jumps for the investment the game asks. I’ve put in 10 hours, but with the black screen of death I had to put finishing of the game on hold.

Crackdown 3 after years of delays and polishing is finally getting into players’ hands. With multiplayer and destructive environments, plus tons of explosions, Crackdown 3 should be worth the wait.

February 15 is just around the corner, so gamers don’t have long to wait.

Metro Exodus takes us back into the post-apocalyptic Russian wasteland in February. With open levels, cool creatures and a sense of danger around every corner. The series is known for cool enemies and a fantastic story. I can’t wait to explore Russia once again.

Far Cry New Dawn also launched in February and takes us back in the world of Far Cry 5. After the end of the last game, players are thrown back into Montana 17 years after the nuclear explosion. The new world is bright and colourful, with a new array of weaponry, gear and animals. If this game has anything in common with the last game it should be a blast to explore Montana once again.

New Dawn even lets you outside the bounds of Montana on expeditions across USA.

If you’re experiencing the black home screen on your Xbox, do a hard reset by unplugging it. This should fix your home screen issue. If that doesn’t work, try turning your Wi-Fi off to see if that fixes the issue.
