HEYER, Anne 1929 – 2022

Anne Heyer passed away peacefully on April 12, 2022. She was born Anna Antonia Pellicano on September 26, 1929 in Penticton, the 5th child of Giovanni (John) Pellicano and Rosa (Iraca) Pellicano. Her parents were immigrants from Calabria, Italy who settled in Penticton in the early 1920’s. Anne was a devoted daughter to her parents and later in life became the main caregiver, translator, and companion to her mother. Anne married Max Heyer in 1974 after her mother passed away. Anne and Max were inseparabl­e and were partners in nearly every facet of their lives, including on their small farm in Summerland where they lived for several years before returning to Penticton. She led a very active life, caring for and hosting family, and volunteeri­ng at St. Ann’s parish where she was a member for over 60 years. Anne took particular joy in her many activities with the Catholic Women’s League. Anne led a life of service and positivity which remains a source of inspiratio­n to her many friends, acquaintan­ces, and family. She was a loving and devoted wife, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Max Heyer, her sister Marie (John Mele) of Seattle, and over 20 nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She is predecease­d by her brothers John Pellicano, Joseph Pellicano (Kay), Natale Pellicano (Myrna), and sister Agata (Nicola Elia). A Funeral Mass will take place Friday, April 22, 2022—2:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church 1296 Main St. Penticton. Condolence­s and memories may be shared by visiting www.everdenrus­t.com
