Singing is her salvation and leads her on a journey to discover herself and a community of outsiders who don’t fit in but don’t give up, proving that finding your people and your voice is possible.
“Movie: Astro Boy”
The classic Japanese cartoon gets an impressive stylistic update in this computer-animated retelling, featuring the voice of Freddie Highmore (“Finding Neverland”) as the title character, a robot designed in the image of its creator’s (voice of Nicolas Cage) son. While Astro Boy has great responsibility, he just wants to find his own place in the world. Charlize Theron, Samuel L. Jackson, Donald Sutherland and Kristen Bell also are heard.
