Kelowna rock trio playing new tunes at upcoming Revelry show

-

Freeze the Fall, rising stars in Kelowna’s rock music scene, are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of their debut EP: THRONES which will be released to all streaming platforms in late April.

To celebrate, the band has a preview listening party on Saturday, April 6 at The Revelry on Ellis.

This EP marks a significant milestone for the band, who have been together for less than two years but are already winning awards and being played on international radio with their debut singles Glitch and Daughters of Witches, released earlier this year.

Composed of Quinn, 16 -- lead vocals and guitar, Aria, 15 -- bass guitar and backup vocals and Jonah, 15 -- drums, Freeze the Fall has been on a remarkable journey to bring their musical vision to life.

Formed in the summer of 2022, it was immediately evident that FTF had something special with their hard-hitting bass and drum-driven rock riffs overlayed with melodic vocals and soulful harmonies.

Their original music has a sound reminiscent of the early 90’s grunge rock vibe.

Less than a year later, with their parents’ help, they launched a Kickstarter campaign to see if they could raise $5,000 to help offset the costs of recording an album. To their great surprise, the international community of hard rock music fans stepped up in a big way.

In the end, they raised more than $10,000 from supporters as far away as Brazil, New Zealand, the UK and beyond, to record, produce and market their debut EP -- including five music videos.

“We are incredibly grateful to the fans and supporters who took a chance on us and helped make this EP possible through their generosity and belief in our music,” says the band.

“Their contributions and the support of local experts made this dream possible.”

From the outset, the band was committed to working with local talent and was able to collaborate with artists and professionals from Kelowna’s music and arts community for every aspect of the EP’s creation.

From original artwork to music production and video production, FTF embraced the wealth of talent living right in our backyard to create a first-class album.

Tickets for Saturday’s event are $15 for this all-ages show and can be purchased on the venue’s website. Pre show entertainment by local performing arts group -- KINSHIRA.
