Natural gas is here to stay

-

Dear Editor:

It is time for the Greens to join the real world and deal with what is going on. Canada is not problem with GHG -- our emissions one of the lowest in the world.

China is at 53.6% of world GHG, yet not one Green mentions that their pollution blows to our country every day. Plus it is going to increase as they are building 500 coal-fired power plants. India come in second. The U.S. is around 15%.

Fossil fuels will be the main source of power for the rest of this century. The world is drowning in natural gas. Thanks to major discoveries throughout Africa there is estimated 350 years worth of NG. The world price is trading at the lowest ever since accurate records have been kept, during the 1990s.

NG is, will be the cheapest form of energy so we must accept it. All other choices, like solar, wind, and EV will never come close to NG’s price. Ottawa and the Greens are under the mistake that if something is expensive it is what we need. China can today supply all three about 50% cheaper than we can. Plus today there are surpluses of all three and prices are falling quickly.

Not one Green can tell us what is going to replace NG in the making of sulfur drugs, which have save lives for the past couple of decades.

The argument over carbon pricing is a joke. A university in Tasmania about five years ago in a report concluded that all molecules stay in the atmosphere for roughly two years due to the winds, before they hit the ground or dissipates.

I will believe the Greens are for real when they start to protest one of the biggest producers of GHG, the drive-thru. Of course they won’t because can you imagine these people walking maybe 100 steps to get their daily coffee.

Natural Gas is here to stay and it is cheap. People and countries must learn to adjust to the real world.
