Two Poems
Accept the part of me that is you —Alejandra Pizarnik
I walk inside your shadow
a long blue lilac leans out of me
your life over mine
from a high angle
the elongated grammars
this is the river
this is the sun that grows around my skull
this is the hooped light that peels my face
out of water
I expected a rush upward but you just stood there
in the bright ends of your hair
a collapsed rainbow between your feet
how
over the small ridge of the body
to let go
in the shallow blue pan
I touch the silver
thread crashing at the bottom
of the hourglass the stiff whorl
of your fingertip
