Hiebert looking for UCP nod in Brooks-Medicine Hat
Dinah Hiebert to seek the BrooksMedicine Hat constituency United Conservative Party (UCP) nomination.
Hiebert, a longtime resident in the Brooks-Medicine Hat constituency, announced her campaign for the local UCP nomination in an statement
“I love this (region) and its people, and I am worried about the future of our area and the province,” stated Hiebert.
Hiebert is pursuing the nomination because she is concerned about the growing provincial debt and ideological agenda from the NDP which have hurt businesses and families and jeopardizes Alberta’s future prosperity. “As a fiscal conservative, I believe the government should operate like regular Alberta families. Make a budget, plan for a rainy day, and don’t live beyond your means. This is true for our homes, our businesses, and most importantly when it comes to our government,” stated Hiebert.
As a resident of the community for more than 40 years, Hiebert enjoys meeting with everyday hard-working Albertans, from the oil and gas sector, agriculture, and small business, to local charities and not-for-profit organizations. No matter the occupation, trade or industry Hiebert believes in the potential of people and wants to be their advocate in Edmonton.
“This area is my home. It’s where I grew up and raised my four children. I’ve been a hockey mom, a parent on the school council, a community volunteer, and a grandparent. I know what is at stake in the next election and I want to give back to the community which has supported my family throughout the years,” stated Hiebert.
Over the next several weeks, Hiebert will be meeting with local residents and community leaders and talking about the issues that matter to them.
