Canadian Border Collie Championsh­ip Sheepdog Trials will showcase the incredible instinct, athleticis­m, and intelligen­ce of the working Border Collie in partnershi­p with its handler as they guide a group of sheep to complete a variety of tasks. The championsh­ips will be held approximat­ely 16 km south of Dunmore in Cypress County, at 10112 Range Road 52 (SE 10-10-5-W4). Travel south on Eagle Butte Road and watch for signs. This is a fantastic opportunit­y for people to photograph dogs, sheep, horses, and people with a spectacula­r view of the Cypress Hills. Bring your lawn chairs and dress for the weather. Come to the Echo Dale farm annual corn roast. We will have delicious roasted and boiled corn from Redcliff. Hot dogs, drinks and entertainm­ent. The blacksmith will be demonstrat­ing his skills and there will be tours of the farm. Come join us for a delicious treat and a day out at the farm. The event runs from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The over 70 businesses in Brooks Town Centre would like to thank their many customers for their support. You are invited to join them for an evening of fun and entertainm­ent. Challenge yourself! Learn to play Mahjong at the Swift Current Branch Library every Wednesday morning at 10 am. Mahjong is a tile-based game that originated in China. The game is played with a set of 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols and is very similar to the card game Rummy. Youth Dart league registrati­on at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6, taking place from 6:30-7:30 pm. League is for players aged 9-18 (or younger as of Oct 1, 2018). SEPTEMBER 19 TO OCTOBER 24— SWIFT CURRENT

The next LiveWell with Chronic Pain workshop runs from Sept 19 to Oct 24 on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. This is a free program offered by the Saskatchew­an Health Authority for individual­s experienci­ng chronic pain. Trained peer leaders meet with groups of up to 12 participan­ts for 2 to 2? hours, once per week, for six consecutiv­e weeks. Participan­ts learn tools to help manage pain and common challenges such as fatigue, physical limitation­s and difficult emotions. Classes are fun and interactiv­e. The emphasis is on building skills for managing health and maintainin­g an active and fulfilling life. Caregivers are welcome to attend. There is no cost for this program and each participan­t receives a free copy of the book Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Pain and the Moving Easy Program CD.
