Giving thanks to the people

Prairie Post (East Edition) - - Opinion -

As we approach the wrap of harvest in the Southwest and we head towards thanksgiving, we must give no thanks to those who made us pay a little more this year the Sask. Party.

The increase in taxes and cuts to families who had to pay more on kids clothing and groceries made it harder to send the kids to school this year

Cuts to rental housing supplement makes it additional hard for lower income families to make it to school.

We cannot thank Mr. Moe, Mr. Hindley and the rest of the Sask. Party for that.

In reality, we must thank the good people of our great province who stood up against selling of crown corporations, trying to cut our libraries (which was just put on hold never officially ended) and the axing of jobs. We must thank the hard working women and men who stand up against the wage freezes and job cuts by the Sask. Party.

So as we give thanks this year to our great people in province of Saskatchewan, remember who we are really thanking.

Shaynee Modien,

Swift Current
