Delusional self-deception at its finest

- DALE FERREL

The Liberal government has defiantly rolled out one paradox after another in a desperate attempt to try to get Canadians to believe that their government is in control.

Only they can dare to pretend to believe that they have a clue on how to govern a country!

THE PIPELINE RETROGRESSION: After being in contravention of their own rules, rightfully being chastised by the courts and having no back up plan, the intractable bumbling continues.

After all else failed, they went to the Liberal answer for everything; study it some more.

Thus a six-month further delay while the regulator decides how to “maybe” reduce the threat to a few killer whales that are best known for decimating tons of the oceans fish stocks and killing seals, walruses and other baby whales.

It is mind boggling, that there is no plan to deal with some First Nations along the route that are rightfully holding out for all they can get.

That, while many others are happy to enjoy the benefits of a pipeline as proposed. Regardless, there is no way anything will proceed until this is resolved which I predict will be never.

Meanwhile, Kinder Morgan who dumped an old pipeline for a generous profit, followed up by also dumping another $2.4 billion in assets in Calgary. And why not as investing in Canada is nearly impossible while the

Liberals are creating inevitable capricious chaos in that regard.

AND THEN THERE WAS THE

POT PROCLAMATION... : Rambunctiously launched into motion, with little thought about the multitude of contraventions tantamount to third class dog and pony show, it has arrived.

It will be a lawyer’s dream as every half-baked part of it will be challenged with vigour.

As an added bonus millions of beloved Canadian pets will martyr themselves for the cause as they succumb to overdoses of food laced with TLC. Landlords will go ballistic as their buildings are trashed or set on fire by pot growers and smokers.

Workplaces and their owners and managers will have little if any way to deal with employees stoned out of their minds, trashing equipment and endangering everyone on their work site, if they eventually show up for work.

Since many different strains of cannabis will abound, the strength of the weed consumed will vary dramatically.

Thus any patch-work of rules or laws will be impossible to rationally enforce by anyone in authority.

The already over worked health care system will be overwhelmed and vilified, especially by teen agers with permanently damaged brains and lungs, now useless to society for the rest of their lives. Broken families, suicides and vehicle accidents will rocket upwards along with insurance policies. Nearly 1.5 million Canadians have already reported being in a vehicle operated by someone who had toked up within the last two hours. And that was before cannabis was even made legal.

Crime will rise and the crypto market which is impossible to control, will blossom. Many thousands of Canadians will suffer terrifying experiences at the American border. A recent poll revealed that 72% of Canadians adamantly stated that they were not ready for pot and all its problems. That was completely ignored by the Liberals in their unnecessary haste to launch one of the worst annoying self-inflicted calamities even endured by mankind.
