- BY VALERIE GORDON Chinook Sports Coordinator

The week of October 7 was “School Sport Week” in Saskatchewan. There were lots of events happening in our SWAC schools. What a wonderful week of celebrating what makes school sport so special!

CROSS COUNTRY

SWAC sent 16 cross country athletes to the SHSAA provincial championship in Delisle. Bitter wind and cold temperatures had us at negative wind chill temperatures all day. The athletes and coaches toughed out the weather conditions and Chinook/SWAC should be very proud of them. Thanks to coaches Roberta McIntryre, Joanne Fournier, Alexus Weston and Stephen Boss for your leadership. Our only top 10 finish was Hillary Lacelle, from SCCHS, in midget girls. She finished 6th overall.....Congrats!!
