Swift Cur­rent RCMP is­sue in­spec­tion tick­ets for tinted win­dows

The fol­low­ing is a syn­op­sis of calls for ser­vice for the dates in­di­cated:

2018-0OCTOBER-19

4:10 PM -Re­port of chil­dren screech­ing at a fe­male youth. This has been on-go­ing for two years. This mat­ter is still un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

5: 18 PM -Re­port of a ve­hi­cle op­er­at­ing as a taxi cab in Swift Cur­rent, but is un­li­censed. This mat­ter is still un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

7:32 PM -911 open line at a lo­ca­tion on the 1800 block of 22nd Av­enue N.E. Of­fi­cers were able to de­ter­mine no emer­gency was tak­ing place.

7:46 PM -While on pa­trol, an of­fi­cer was flagged down by an in­di­vid­ual stat­ing there was a man both­er­ing peo­ple at a busi­ness on the 100 block of Cen­tral Av­enue N. The of­fi­cer at­tended the lo­ca­tion and spoke to the man who was then given a ride home.

8:40 PM -Re­port of two sus­pi­cious males on the the 400 block of Cowan Drive. They were well-dressed and had knocked on the caller's door but she did not an­swer so it was un­known what they wanted. Of­fi­cers made pa­trols of the area but were un­able to lo­cate any males match­ing the de­scrip­tion pro­vided.

11:18 PM -Re­quest to con­duct a well be­ing check on an adult fe­male. Of­fi­cers at­tended her res­i­dence but were not able to get an an­swer. Po­lice re­ceived a call from the fe­male shortly af­ter­wards ad­vis­ing she was okay.

10:40 PM -While on pa­trol of­fi­cers con­ducted a traf­fic stop on a white Chevro­let Sil­ver­ado af­ter it was ob­served driv­ing some­what er­rat­i­cally on Cen­tral Av­enue N. Open al­co­hol was lo­cated in the ve­hi­cle. The adult male pas­sen­ger was charged un­der the Al­co­hol & Gam­ing Reg­u­la­tions Act.

11 :58 PM -Re­port of a sui­ci­dal youth. Of­fi­cers lo­cated the youth at their res­i­dence in the care of their guardian.

2:00 AM -Re­port of a male breach­ing the con­di­tions of his pro­ba­tion or­der by con­tact­ing the fe­male caller who he is on con­di­tions not to have con­tact with. This mat­ter is still un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

9:07 AM -Re­port of a hit and run to a brown Chevro­let Sil­ver­ado. Of­fi­cers later re­ceived an­other call ad­vis­ing that the owner of the ve­hi­cle that hit his ve­hi­cle had re­turned and left a note on the wind­shield. Both par­ties were ad­vised to con­tact their in­sur­ance com­pa­nies.

11 :50 AM -While on pa­trol, of­fi­cers con­ducted a traf­fic stop on a blue Chevro­let Sil­ver­ado. The driver was is­sued an in­spec­tion ticket to have their win­dow tint re­moved.

2:08 PM -While on pa­trol, of­fi­cers con­ducted a traf­fic stop on a black Ford F350. The driver of the ve­hi­cle was is­sued in­spec­tion tick­ets to have their win­dow tint re­moved and have the wind­shield re­paired and was also charged un­der the Traf­fic Safety Act.

2:37 PM -911 call of a pos­si­bly im­paired driver in a pur­ple Dodge truck leav­ing a lo­ca­tion on the North Ser­vice Road. Of­fi­cers made pa­trols but were not able to lo­cate the ve­hi­cle.

3:36 PM -While on pa­trol, of­fi­cers con­ducted a traf­fic stop on a black Dodge Ram. The driver was is­sued a warn­ing ticket for hold­ing, view­ing, us­ing or ma­nip­u­lat­ing elec­tronic com­mu­ni­ca­tions equip­ment.

3:51 PM -While on pa­trol, of­fi­cers con­ducted a traf­fic stop on a black Chevro­let Ta­hoe. The driver was is­sued a warn­ing ticket for hold­ing, view­ing, us­ing or ma­nip­u­lat­ing elec­tronic com­mu­ni­ca­tions equip­ment.

4:23 PM -While on pa­trol, of­fi­cers is­sued a warn­ing ticket to a semi driver who was parked on the shoul­der of the #1 High­way in a no park­ing zone.

4:35 PM -While on pa­trol, of­fi­cers con­ducted a traf­fic stop on a black Chevro­let Sil­ver­ado. The driver of the ve­hi­cle was is­sued an in­spec­tion ticket to have their win­dow tint re­moved.

5:23 PM -Re­port of a male knock­ing on the door of a lo­ca­tion on the 700 block of 1st Av­enue N.W. The fe­male caller never an­swered the door as the lo­ca­tion was not open to the pub­lic at the time. The male was car­ry­ing back­packs, wear­ing a camoflauge jacket, orange toque and rid­ing a bi­cy­cle. The male had left how­ever the fe­male caller wanted an es­cort to her ve­hi­cle. Of­fi­cers at­tended and as­sisted the fe­male to her ve­hi­cle.

6:12 PM -Re­port of a black Pon­tiac Grand Prix on 1st Av­enue N.W. who sped past the caller, cut him off and then pro­ceeded to give him the fin­ger. Once at the stop sign the Grand Prix then sped away spin­ning rocks onto the caller's ve­hi­cle. This mat­ter is still un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

8:13 PM -Re­port of a rid­ing lawn mower in the mid­dle of 11th Av­enue N.E. Youth were seen run­ning away from it. Of­fi­cers at­tended and lo­cated three youth. The owner of the mower was con­tacted and ad­vised he'd been do­ing work in the area and had left the mower un­su­per­vised and he would at­tend to col­lect his prop­erty.

1 :34 AM -Re­port of a sui­ci­dal in­di­vid­ual. Of­fi­cers at­tended the in­di­vid­ual's res­i­dence and de­ter­mined he was not sui­ci­dal, he was up­set about a break up. Of­fi­cers pro­vided the in­di­vid­ual with a phone num­ber in the event he needed to speak to a pro­fes­sional.

2:20 AM -While at an event on 17th Av­enue S.E., of­fi­cers came across a fight be­tween two adult males. One male knocked down an­other and then pro­ceeded to punch him one more time in the head.The adult male was ar­rested. Both males were spo­ken to once sober and nei­ther wanted charges laid.

9:54 AM -Re­port of a found cell­phone on 17th Av­enue S.E. The cell­phone had been lo­cated in a jacket that had been left at an event tak­ing place the night prior and turned into the De­tach­ment. The phone was re­turned to it's owner.

12:31 PM -Re­port of a sui­ci­dal in­di­vid­ual. Of­fi­cers at­tended the res­i­dence and the in­di­vid­ual was trans­ported to the hospi­tal with EMS for eval­u­a­tion.

3:27 PM -Re­quest to con­duct well-be­ing check on an adult fe­male. Of­fi­cers at­tended the res­i­dence and lo­cated the fe­male who had fallen down sev­eral stairs. The fe­male was trans­ported to the hospi­tal with EMS.

4:53 PM -Re­quest from a busi­ness on the 600 block of North Ser­vice Road E. to re­move a cus­tomer who is re­fus­ing to leave. Of­fi­cers at­tended and the male left with­out fur­ther in­ci­dent.

7:05 PM -Re­port of a very loud band prac­tice on the 200 block of 6th Av­enue N.W. that had been go­ing on for four hours. Of­fi­cers made pa­trols of the area but could not hear any noise. Upon con­tact­ing the caller she ad­vised the mu­sic had quit right af­ter she had con­tacted po­lice.

7:35 PM -911 call of a dis­tur­bance on the 300 block of Mac­Don­ald Drive. The caller stated they can hear the neigh­bours fight­ing and bang­ing on the house. Of­fi­cers at­tended the res­i­dence and spoke to the in­volved par­ties who ad­vised no as­sault had taken place, they had been hav­ing a ver­bal ar­gu­ment.

11:14 PM -Re­port of an alarm at a busi­ness on the 100 block of North Ser­vice Road E. Of­fi­cers at­tended & de­ter­mined the alarm to be false.
