GREAT SHOW: The 3rd An­nual South­west Show­case Trade Show took place in con­junc­tion with the 2018 Cana­dian Cow­boys As­so­ci­a­tion (CCA) Fi­nals Rodeo at the In­no­va­tion Credit Union iPlex, Oct. 18-20. Over 50 ven­dors par­tic­i­pated in the trade show, which was lo­cated in the curl­ing rink area. The ven­dors showed their com­mu­nity spirit by do­nat­ing items for a char­ity auc­tion on Oct. 19 that ben­e­fit­ted the SaskA­bil­i­ties Swift Cur­rent branch. The auc­tion raised $2,425 for Abil­ity Bowl 2019, which will take place on April 20. The Abil­ity Bowl is an im­por­tant fundraiser for the or­ga­ni­za­tion and funds will sup­port pro­grams and ser­vices in the com­mu­nity. Abil­ity Bowl 2019 will have a rodeo theme and will be called Rodeo Bowl.Pic­tured above: The 3rd An­nual South­west Show­case Trade Show pro­vided free ad­mis­sion to a va­ri­ety of ven­dors.

Swift Cur­rent Ag and Ex Di­rec­tor Glenda Al­lan holds a piece of rus­tic art made from horse­shoes, which was do­nated to the auc­tion by DP's Rus­tic Re­vival of Swift Cur­rent. At back is Ken Eh­mann from JE Ranch at Hold­fast, a trade show ven­dor who took on the auc­tion­eer­ing du­ties.
