Labour Minister Gray: still seeking clarity

Prairie Post (East Edition) - - Opinion -

It has now been just short of eight months since you (Labour minister Christina Gray) invited me to contact you regarding an Alberta Farmworker Out-Reach and the need for an Advocate for the men, women and children (non-farm-family) employed as Alberta's Farmworkers, to assist these workers with employment issues they come up against.

I note you are providing millions of dollars for the Employers to make the transition and adapt to the new regulations.

So I ask you again, will you please also assist the namesakes of Bill 6, Farm & Ranch workers?

I have attached a statement from Farmworker, Jose Majano which was delivered at the most recent NDP convention.

Thank you in advance. Your humble servant,

Eric Musekamp, Farmworkers Union of Alberta
