There were Christ­mas con­certs at a num­ber of schools in the Chi­nook School Divi­sion be­fore the hol­i­day break. Stu­dent and staff at Cen­tral School in Swift Cur­rent were busy dur­ing De­cem­ber to pre­pare for their two con­certs. The Grade 1-2 and band con­cert took place Dec. 13 and the Grade 3-5 and choir con­cert was held Dec. 20. The Grade 1-2 stu­dents per­formed the mu­si­cal How the Pen­guins saved Christ­mas and the Grade 3-5 stu­dents pre­sented the Christ­mas mu­si­cal North Pole Di­aries. The Cen­tral School choir per­formed three songs at the start of the Dec. 20 con­cert. They are di­rected by mu­sic teacher Celia Ham­mer­ton.
