Deceased male found on #1 Highway identified, help still needed

The deceased male has been identified as a 58-yearold man from Metcalfe, Ontario, thanks to informatio­n shared by the public.

The Saskatchew­an RCMP would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this matter.

The investigat­ion remains ongoing to identify the individual or individual­s involved in this alleged crime.

Informatio­n suggests the deceased male was hit between 7 p.m. and 8:15 pm. on Friday January 4, 2019.

He had grey hair, a large moustache and a beard. He was wearing numerous layers of warm clothes and was carrying a back-pack and a sleeping bag.

Saskatchew­an RCMP is asking for informatio­n from motorists who have observed vehicles with noticeable damage travelling eastbound on the # 1 Highway around these hours.
