The Swift Cur­rent RCMP stayed busy last week­end fol­low­ing the Christ­mas/New Year’s hol­i­days. 2019-JAN­UARY-04

4: 11 p.m. -while on pa­trol of­fi­cers is­sued a warn­ing ticket to the driver of a gray Hyundai Elantra for dis­obey­ing a stop sign.

4:39 p.m. -911 hang up call from a busi­ness on the 100 block of 1st Av­enue N.E. Of­fi­cers spoke to a prop­erty rep for the busi­ness who ad­vised there was no emer­gency tak­ing place and the 911 call had been made by mis­take.

7:02 p.m. - re­port of an alarm at a fi­nan­cial in­sti­tu­tion on the 200 block of 1st Av­enue N.W. Of­fi­cers at­tended the busi­ness and de­ter­mined the alarm to be false.

10:24 p.m. - re­port of guests of a com­mer­cial dwelling unit on the 1300 block of North Ser­vice Road E. drink­ing al­co­hol in a com­mon area and will not leave. Of­fi­cers at­tended and gave a warn­ing to all guests in the com­mon area about con­sum­ing al­co­hol in a pub­lic place.

11:23 p.m. - 911 call of a two ve­hi­cle col­li­sion where a gold car made a sud­den stop in front of a semi on the #1 High­way caus­ing the semi to rear end the car. The car then drove away from the lo­ca­tion. This mat­ter is still un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion. 2019-JAN­UARY-05

7:05 a.m. - re­port of an in­di­vid­ual sleep­ing on the bench in­side the lobby of a fi­nan­cial in­sti­tu­tion on the 100 block of 1st Av­enue N.E. Of­fi­cers at­tended the lo­ca­tion and spoke to the male who showed no signs of im­pair­ment and ad­vised he didn't have a place to go un­til the fol­low­ing night. The male agreed to gather his things and leave the lo­ca­tion.

10:04 a.m. - re­port of a male walk­ing in front of ve­hi­cles on 2nd Av­enue S.E. try­ing to stop ve­hi­cles. The caller was con­cerned the male could get hurt. Of­fi­cers at­tended and told the male to stay on the side­walks as it was dan­ger­ous to be out in the street.

10:06 a.m. - re­port of an alarm at busi­ness on the 1400 block of Chea­dle Street W. This was the sixth false alarm at this busi­ness and a let­ter was sent to the prop­erty sus­pend­ing ser­vices un­til the alarm has been fixed.

1:10 p.m. - re­port of a found driver's li­cence. De­tach­ment staff were un­able to ob­tain a con­tact num­ber for the owner of the iden­ti­fi­ca­tion so it was mailed to the is­suer.

2:35 p.m. - re­port of two fe­males in a blue Honda CRVin the park­ing lot of a busi­ness on the 1400 block of North Ser­vice Road E. smok­ing out of a bong. The caller was un­sure if the driver had smoked any­thing but had ob­served the pas­sen­ger smok­ing. Of­fi­cers made pa­trols but were un­able to lo­cate the ve­hi­cle .

4:45 p.m. - re­port of some­one writ­ing on the call­ers truck in black per­ma­nent marker. The ve­hi­cle was washed and the marker ca.m.e off. The caller wanted it re­ported for in­for­ma­tion pur­poses in case other mis­chiefs were re­ported in the area of Steele Cres­cent.

8: 10 p.m. -911 call of a hit and run to the caller's white Mini Cooper while parked at a com­mer­cial dwelling unit on the 1100

block of South Ser­vice Road E. There are no sus­pects or wit­nesses at this time.

8:53 p.m. - re­port of a bark­ing dog on the 200 block of 10th Av­enue N.W. The dog has been bark­ing for the last three hours. Of­fi­cers spoke to the owner who ad­vised they will bring the dog in­side.

9:54 p.m. - re­port from an in­tox­i­cated fe­male say­ing her puppy was stolen. The fe­male said the woman who has the dog was pur­chas­ing the dog and is now rip­ping her off. Of­fi­cers spoke to the fe­male and ad­vised she would need to pur­sue the mat­ter in civil court.

10:07 p.m. - re­port of a woman in the lobby of a dwelling unit on the 300 block of Sid­ney Street E. for the last cou­ple hours and re­fus­ing to leave. Of­fi­cers at­tended the lo­ca­tion and asked the fe­male to leave, she com­plied and left. 2019-JAN­UARY-06

12:50 a.m. -while of­fi­cers were out on pa­trol they con­ducted a cur­few check on male who when checked had been con­sum­ing al­co­hol. The male was on con­di­tions not con­sume al­co­hol and will be charged with one count of breach­ing his pro­ba­tion or­der un­der the Crim­i­nal Code.

2:15 a.m. - re­port of the caller's in­tox­i­cated mother try­ing to fight him on the 100 block of Lorne Street E. Of­fi­cers at­tended the lo­ca­tion and ob­served an in­tox­i­cated fe­male yelling at her son and fol­low­ing him around the room. The fe­male was ar­rested by po­lice and was later re­leased once sober. No crim­i­nal charges were laid in re­la­tion to the in­ci­dent.

7:50 a.m. -911 call from a fe­male look­ing for her bank in­for­ma­tion num­ber. The call taker con­firmed there was no emer­gency tak­ing place and put the caller through to her bank. Of­fi­cers later con­tacted the woman who apol­o­gized for call­ing an emer­gency line by mis­take.

10:24 a.m. -re­port of a fe­male that con­tin­ues the con­tact the com­plainant by phone and is very crude. This has been an on- go­ing is­sue and she is hav­ing is­sues get­ting the fe­male's num­ber blocked. This mat­ter is still un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

12:01 p.m. -re­port of a fe­male send­ing the caller threat­en­ing text mes­sages. The caller would like the fe­male spo­ken to and told to quit con­tact­ing her. This mat­ter is still un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

1 :56 p.m. - re­port of a male breach­ing a con­di­tion of his court or­der by con­tact­ing the fe­male caller. This mat­ter is still un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion. 2:27 p.m. - re­quest to do a well be­ing check on the oc­cu­pants of a prop­erty on the 500 block of 1st Av­enue N.W. The caller ad­vised that they had gone to the prop­erty yes­ter­day and the door was locked and a Christ­mas tree could be seen. The caller re­turned to the prop­erty again to­day and the doors were open but no­body ca.m.e to the door. Of­fi­cers at­tended the res­i­dence and spoke to the prop­erty oc­cu­pants who were fine.

5:09 p.m. - re­port of a fe­male shoplift­ing from a busi­ness on the 1600 block of Springs Drive. The fe­male put an item in her purse, walked out of the store and got into the pas­sen­ger side of a white car with a sun­roof. This mat­ter is still un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

6:06 p.m. - re­port of a semi that drove away from a wash bay pulling the wand out of the ceil­ing. This mat­ter is still un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

7:51 p.m. - 911 call of a small car trav­el­ing east­bound in the west­bound lane of the #1 High­way. Four other com­plaints re­ceived about the sa.m.e ve­hi­cle. Of­fi­cers made pa­trols but did not lo­cate the ve­hi­cle. No other calls were re­ceived in re­la­tion to this in­ci­dent.

9:14 p.m. -911 hang up call from a dwelling unit on the 300 block of Mata­dor Drive. Of­fi­cers at­tended the lo­ca­tion and learned that the prop­erty rep had wanted two sub­jects to leave her res­i­dence as they'd had a ver­bal ar­gu­ment and she was

now tired and wanted to go to bed. Both par­ties left the res­i­dence, no other calls were re­ceived .

10: 11 p.m. -while on pa­trol of­fi­cers wit­nessed a blue Ford F 150 trav­el­ing on the North Ser­vice Road with an ex­pired li­cence plate. When of­fi­cers at­tempted to pull the ve­hi­cle over it fled from po­lice. The truck was later lo­cated on 11th Av­enue N.W. where the ve­hi­cle again fled from po­lice. The truck was later lo­cated for a third time at a gas sta­tion on the 2600 block of North Ser­vice Road W. where it fled from po­lice a third time. Of­fi­cers were able to pos­i­tively iden­tify the driver of the truck the third time it was lo­cated. This mat­ter is still un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion and crim­i­nal charges are pend­ing.
