Swift Current Co-Chairs announced for 2019 World Under-17 Hockey Championships Committee

The Swift Current Committee for the World Under-17 Hockey Championships is pleased to announce that it has appointed Tim Marcus and Liam ChooFoo as Co-Chairs for the 2019 event that will take place November 2nd through 9.

Marcus is the Chief Administrative Officer of the City of Swift Current, and brings with him a wealth of leadership experience, both in government and corporate settings, as well as in events management. Tim recently acted as CoChair of the 2019 Hockey Day in Canada event in Swift Current.

Choo-Foo is the former CEO and Director of Education of the Chinook School Division and has spent countless hours as a volunteer Coach in Minor Hockey, Baseball and SunDogs Volleyball, as well as 12 years on the Board of Directors of the Swift Current Broncos, currently as the Vice Chair and Alternate Western Hockey League Governor.

In addition , Brad Woods has been appointed Chair of Operations, and Chris Keleher has been appointed Chair of Community Activation.

There are still several openings that remain on the Committee, and volunteers from the public are encouraged to reach out and express their interest should they wish to contribute to the success of the 2019 Championships.
