A LiveWell with Chronic Pain workshop will take place March 5 to April 9 on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. This is a free program offered by the Saskatchew­an Health Authority for individual­s managing any type of ongoing pain such as back pain, joint pain, arthritis, fibromyalg­ia, migraine, and more. Trained peer leaders meet with groups of up to 12 participan­ts for 2 to 2? hours, once per week, for six consecutiv­e weeks. Participan­ts learn tools to help address common challenges such as fatigue, physical limitation­s and difficult emotions. Classes are fun and interactiv­e. The emphasis is on building skills for managing health and maintainin­g an active and fulfilling life. Caregivers are welcome to attend. There is no cost for this program and each participan­t receives a free copy of the book Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Pain and the Moving Easy Program CD. Challenge yourself! Come and learn to play Mahjong at the Swift Current Branch Library every Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Mahjong is a tile-based game that originated in China. The game is played with a set of 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols and is very similar to the card game Rummy. Home Alone Courses: Cypress Advanced First Aid Services is presenting home alone courses for children 9 years and older. By popular demand, the Ennis Sisters return – after gracing the Bassano audience with their Christmas show a few years ago. With multiple accolades – a JUNO Award, SOCAN Award, and multiple East Coast Music Awards – The Ennis Sisters (Maureen, Teresa and Karen) are a world renowned, celebrated Celtic/folk group from St. John’s, NL.
