A LiveWell with Chronic Pain workshop will take place March 5 to April 9 on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. This is a free program offered by the Saskatchewan Health Authority for individuals managing any type of ongoing pain such as back pain, joint pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, migraine, and more. Trained peer leaders meet with groups of up to 12 participants for 2 to 2? hours, once per week, for six consecutive weeks. Participants learn tools to help address common challenges such as fatigue, physical limitations and difficult emotions. Classes are fun and interactive. The emphasis is on building skills for managing health and maintaining an active and fulfilling life. Caregivers are welcome to attend. There is no cost for this program and each participant receives a free copy of the book Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Pain and the Moving Easy Program CD. The Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan, together with the Southwest Newcomer Welcome Centre and Southwest Multicultural Association, will be hosting a Community Forum in Swift Current. Challenge yourself! Come and learn to play Mahjong at the Swift Current Branch Library every Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Mahjong is a tile-based game that originated in China. The game is played with a set of 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols and is very similar to the card game Rummy. Home Alone Courses: Cypress Advanced First Aid Services is presenting home alone courses for children 9 years and older. Learn skills to stay home for short periods of time before & after school, what responsibilities does the child have to stay home alone, what to do in an emergency, and some first aid skills. The Rush Lake Rec Board presents ribs and Caesar salad dinner and shuffleboard on Ice tournament at the Rush Lake Rink starting at 6 pm. Ribs and Caesar salad: $10. The Brooks and District Social Club dance will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Brooks Legion Hall from 7:30-11 p.m. with a Potluck meal to follow. Dance to the music of a very popular Medicine Hat band, Gone Country. Come out and enjoy an evening of dancing and socializing. There’s free tea and coffee all evening. Please join us.

By popular demand, the Ennis Sisters return – after gracing the Bassano audience with their Christmas show a few years ago. With multiple accolades – a JUNO Award, SOCAN Award, and multiple East Coast Music Awards – The Ennis Sisters (Maureen, Teresa and Karen) are a world renowned, celebrated Celtic/folk group from St. John’s, NL.
