Swift Cur­rent's Red­neck Bet­ties

played their first home game of the 2019 roller derby sea­son against Medicine Hat's Gas City Reg­u­la­tors, April 27. The Red­neck Bet­ties jam­mers sprinted around the track at a fast pace and the block­ers made it dif­fi­cult for the Reg­u­la­tors to score, which se­cured a 252-122 vic­tory for the home team. The South­west Saskatchew­an Roller Derby As­so­ci­a­tion will host three more home games dur­ing the sea­son at the In­no­va­tion Credit Union iPlex in Swift Cur­rent on May 4, June 22, and Sept. 14. The Red­neck Bet­ties will play against the Prince Al­bert Out­laws on May 4, starting at 7 p.m. The SWSRDA ju­nior team, the Ra Ra Ri­ots, will start the day's roller derby action with a game at 4:30 p.m.
