Club sells tickets to raise funds for children’s hospital

- SUBMITTED BY AURORA CLUB # 5

Member of the Aurora Club #5 Daughters of the Nile are currently selling tickets for their lottery ticket draw to raise funds for the Shriners Hospital for Children in Montreal.

Due to low membership and health concerns, Aurora Club will be selling the Shrine Hospital raffle tickets until June 30 at Pharmasave in Swift Current.

Tickets will be available at this location each week on Thursday and Friday afternoons from noon to 5 p.m.

After this date the tickets will be available by phone until sold out or the end of September. Please call Diana at 306-773-9514, Bep at 306-7737359, or Mary at 306-773-6957, and leave a message.

Tickets are $20 each and only 1,500 will be sold. The total prize money payout is $2,500. The first prize payout will be $1,000. The second prize is $800 and the third prize is $700.

The Daughters of the Nile is an international fraternal organization. An important focus of the members of each temple across Canada and the United States is to raise funds for the medical care and rehabilitation of children at a Shriners Hospital for Children.

The Aurora Club #5 started in 2011 and has been very successful. Our “ticket lady” Kay Blydo is no longer with us. She spent many hours promoting and selling tickets to support this very worthy cause.

We want to thank everyone who supported this venture. We met many people from far and wide who have had friends and family treated in the Shrine hospitals.
