A com­mu­nity vol­un­teer weed dig out event to try and com­bat in­va­sive plants such as leafy spurge in and around Medicine Hat. People in­ter­ested in join­ing can meet us at the South East Al­berta Water­shed Al­liance, Room 41, 419 - 3rd St. SE, Medicine Hat at 8 a.m. on Tues­days, but please call in ad­vance so we can pre­pare tools / transporta­tion if needed.

Wed­nes­days in May, June, July - Walk your way to health at the Rec­Tan­gle sport court! Es­cape the el­e­ments and walk laps in the arena sport court. A fan­tas­tic ac­tiv­ity for all ages. Lap coun­ters available to bor­row. Wed­nes­days in June, and July from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

PASS-kwah NIPpee: mean­ing grass and wa­ter in Plains Cree. A mes­mer­iz­ing glimpse into the magic of minia­tures; this ex­hi­bi­tion presents films and in­tri­cately de­tailed stop mo­tion an­i­ma­tion sets by Michif artist, Amanda Strong. Screened in­ter­na­tion­ally, in­clud­ing Cannes Film Fes­ti­val and nom­i­nated for a 2019 Cana­dian Screen­writ­ers Award, Strong’s films fea­ture im­pact­ful Indige­nous sto­ry­telling. Show­ing at Art Gallery un­til June 30.

The game is played with a set of 144 tiles based on Chi­nese char­ac­ters and sym­bols and is sim­i­lar to the card game Rummy.
