Soapbox racers compete against Moose Jaw in annual Father’s Day event
This year’s Father’s Day Soapbox Races were a success, racing down their “track” on Central Avenue North on Sunday, June 16th.
There were 17 racers from Swift Current with 6 racers from the Moose Jaw Soapbox Club that worked the laws of physics to their advantage.
Rolling downhill in wheeled cars powered by gravity itself has been an exciting sport in Swift Current for the past 37 years.
The track is no stranger to the engine-less, gravitydriven-cars that run in 2 different divisions with some fearsome wheel to wheel competition.
