Pioneer Co-op announces new CEO
Larry Kozun has accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pioneer Co-op effective July 1, 2019. Following the retirement of Stu Dyrland earlier this year, the board conducted a thorough executive search, with Kozun being the successful candidate.

He is passionate about the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS), co-operative principles, and has a track record of success in our organization” says Uli Cartman, Pioneer Co-op Board Chair. “The Board looks forward to continued success for Pioneer Co-op with Larry in the CEO position.”
Larry has served as Pioneer Co-op’s Controller since 1991. He started his Co-op career in 1980 with Federated Co-operative Limited in Saskatoon as an Auditor.
He joined Pioneer Co-op as Accountant in 1985 and also served in the positions of Office Manager and Credit Manager. In August of 1988, Larry transferred to Yorkton Co-op as Controller, returning to Pioneer in 1991.
Larry has completed numerous courses during his time in the Co-operative Retailing System and holds a FCPA (Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant) designation. He has also participated in the Federated Co-operative General Manager/Operations Manager Training Program.
