Great Plains College SunDogs announces new title sponsor

Great Plains College is excited to announce Knight Dodge (Knight Automotive Group) as the inaugural title sponsor of the SunDogs Athletics program at the college.

“At Knight Automotive we strive to be a part of bringing growth and awareness to the incredible programs in our city,” said Jason Dyck, General Manager for Knight Dodge.

“The Great Plains College SunDogs varsity athletics program is an amazing part of this community and through our partnershi­p we hope to raise the profile of the program and we look forward to the future of SunDogs Athletics.”

The Knight Dodge SunDogs have remained a competitiv­e force in the Prairie Athletic Conference since their beginnings in 2006, winning multiple athlete and coaching awards as well as four provincial championsh­ips, the most recent being in 2018 as the women’s volleyball team was crowned provincial champions.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Knight Dodge to the SunDogs community. On behalf of the athletes, coaches and the entire college, we can’t thank them enough for their partnershi­p and support of our teams,” said Mona Patterson, SunDogs Athletics and recreation coordinato­r at Great Plains College.

The next season is set to begin this fall with a full schedule of games to be announced in September.
