The Swift Current Drag Racing Associatio­n hosted the third and final drag racing weekend of the 2019 season at the Swift Current Airport, Aug. 23-25. The event started with a fun night on Friday evening to give anyone an opportunit­y to test their vehicles on the drag strip over one eighth of a mile distance. Formal racing took place on the other two days. Graham Smith of Swift Current recorded the best ever reaction time on this track on Aug. 25, when he reacted 0.00002 seconds after the green light. Below are the race results for each day:

Aug. 24 winners: Sportsman class – 1st Kevin Snelling, Weyburn, 2nd Richard Vogel – McTaggart; Pro class – 1st Arnie Josephon, Regina, 2nd Ron Geiger, Kyle; Super Pro class – 1st Graham Smith, Swift Current, 2nd Allen Kentz, Regina; Junior dragster – 1st Clara Layfield, Humboldt, 2nd Daniel Layfield, Humboldt; Junior Street class – 1st Rylan Morhart, Moose Jaw, 2nd Zack Decru, Regina; Best reaction time – Graham Smith, Swift Current at 0.00082 seconds; Car count – 106.
