Septem­ber 6-7-Brooks

Brooks Show n’ Shine takes place at Cen­ten­nial Re­gional Arena (144071 Sil­ver Sage Road). A two day show that in­cludes a show and shine, a cruise night, live mu­sic, door prizes, ven­dors, rear wheel dyno and more! New this year, on Fri­day night there will be a Drive-In Theatre (weather per­mit­ting)! Cruise night will take place at 6 p.m. Show n’ Shine and other events will take place on Satur­day, Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. The event is brought to you by the Brooks Street Rod Club.

City of Swift Cur­rent Mar­ket Square hosts “Cruisin’ the Mar­ket - 8th An­nual Show ‘n Shine” on Sept. 7. Starts at 9 a.m. un­til 3 p.m. Reg­is­tra­tion ends at 12 p.m. with judg­ing be­gin­ning at 12 p.m. Par­tic­i­pants are en­cour­aged to bring do­na­tions for the Food Bank. The game is played with a set of 144 tiles based on Chi­nese char­ac­ters and sym­bols and is sim­i­lar to the card game Rummy. Septem­ber 19-Brooks

Beer and tap danc­ing! A fundraiser for Team Canada tap dancer Harrison Gi­etz. There will be two per­for­mances through­out the night and will in­clude other lo­cal dancers. The first from 6-7:15 p.m. and then the same per­for­mance re­peated from 7:45–9 p.m. Guests can come and go. Tick­ets are $10 each and avail­able for pur­chase at the Steam­ing Cup, at Pis­ton Broke Brew­ing, or by call­ing 403-363-3070. Harrison will be com­pet­ing with other Team Canada dancers at the IDO World Tap Cham­pi­onships in Riesa, Ger­many this Novem­ber. Funds raised to go to help cover the cost of this trip so he can rep­re­sent Canada.
