Tenille Campbell will present from her work Indian Love Poems, (Signature Editions, 2017) a collection with a gaze on Indigenous erotica and the humour within.

As Ms. Campbell’s poems celebrate “love and lust in Indian country”, her presentation comes with an “adult content” caution.

Tenille Campbell is an author and photographer from English River

First Nation on Treaty 10 land 500 km north of Saskatoon. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia and is currently studying for her PhD at the University of Saskatchewan, focusing on Indigenous literature.

She also owns and operates Sweetmoon Photography where she specializes in photographs of Indigenous people.

Campbell refers to herself as an

“Indigenerd” and is also co-creator of “tea&bannock” an online collective blog written by eight Indigenous women from across Canada. An accomplished speaker with a refreshing sense of humour, she was named one of the 2017 CBC Saskatchewan’s Future 40 winners in Arts, Culture, and Entertainment.

Cogent advice heads one of her blog posts: “Breathe, then speak”. We look forward to Tenille Campbell’s humourous yet provocative love poems and thank SIGA through Living Sky Casino for their generous sponsorship.
