Effective April 13th, Innovation Credit Union took temporary measures to shift our service to phone, online and byappointm­ent-only.

While the shift means no further walkin service at advice centres/branches, rest assured we are here to serve you with the personaliz­ed service that our members have come to expect from us.

Our advisors and call centre staff can support you with almost all your needs over the phone, email or by video - we’d also be happy to show you how to use our online channels.

As well, our ATMs and Night Deposit remain in service. Thank you for being receptive and agile to these potentiall­y new ways of serving you. We’ve already noticed the increased usage of our digital services. You’re flattening the curve! We’d like to acknowledg­e that many individual­s and businesses are currently experienci­ng financial hardships. We’ve made some product and service enhancemen­ts to assist affected members:

• We’ve increased our call centre staff from 20 in the queue to 100 to reduce wait times. Our average wait time is 18 seconds, with most calls being answered in under 20 seconds.

• We’ve extended our call centre hours of service from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday and 9am to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

• We’ve removed several fees so that we can help you over the phone at no cost.

• We’re offering flexible loan deferral options for personal loans and mortgages as well as business and ag loans.

• We’ve removed most holds on remote deposit capture so you can access your cheque funds faster.

• We’ve increased the tap limit on most debit cards to protect you from handling POS machines or coming within 6 feet of a cashier.
