REDI Enterprises Society looking for worthy award SE Alberta nominees
Those who help people living with a disability are generous with their time and humble people. However, there is a time to shine and the REDI Enterprises Society Chair’s Award will showcase a worthy recipient later this summer.
Rachel St. Jean, the chairperson for REDI says it is one singular award handed out for those in the Medicine Hat, Brooks and southeast region. It crosses a broad spectrum of qualified applicants. The entry has no specific word count.
“It is open to interpretation; it is open to a broad spectrum, a wider community,” explains St. Jean about the entry, just as long as there are reasons why the nominee is deserving.
It could be an individual, but it can also be a business which supports the cause or a service group which helps volunteer.
According to a release, “Established in 2007, the Chair’s Award was created by REDI Enterprises to recognize individuals, businesses, and organizations that have contributed significantly to creating opportunities for people with disabilities to be included in the mainstream of our community.
Recognition is for outstanding efforts to create opportunities in the workplace, in daily living or in social and recreational activities”
REDI Enterprises Society will announce the winner during its virtual AGM which will be held in the later part of summer but she would like the entries in by the end of July.
The nomination entry can be anything which will describe and outline what the nominee (s) has done.
