“CWA’s long-term sustainability is more important than ever right now,” says CWA President Chris Lees. “In 2019, we invested in the show, brought in new programming and continued to put our exhibitors, visitors, and partners first.”

The 2019 show welcomed over 10,000 students, more than 1,300 international guests from 86 different countries, and over 350 volunteers. 2019 also saw CWA make a $100,000 contribution to the Livestock and Forage Centre of Excellence and raise over $80,000 for CWA’s official charity, STARS

Earlier this month, CWA announced the postponement of their 50th show until 2021 due to COVID-19. Work on digital programming, mentorship, scholarships, and education will continue for CWA in 2020.

“We are proud of our industry and the work we do all year round to support it,” says CWA CEO Chris Lane. “We are looking forward to developing new programming for 2020, CWA’s 50th show in 2021, and many Agribitions yet to come.”
