August 14-Medicine Hat

Gord Bamford and ATB financial Bring you the Drive in For Mental Health taking place at the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede Grounds. 100% of proceeds will be donated back to Canadian Mental Health Associatio­n - Southeast Region. Enjoy live music responsibl­y from the comfort of your vehicle. Each ticket is good for one vehicle. No food or beverage sales will be available onsite. No washrooms will be available. Other safe distancing protocols will be in place. Showtimes are 8-9 pm and 10:30-11:30 pm. Tickets range from $80-$125 and are available online on showpass.

Big Country Argricultu­ral Society is hosting Open Farm Days from 1:00-7:00 pm. Free horseback rides, ice cream making, butter churning, farm animal petting zoo, barrel train, roping practice, crop trials, weeds, horticultu­ral info, beekeeping, farm safety demo and a bus tour.

The Resilience Advantage - Strategies for Managing Stress in Challengin­g Times is being facilitate­d by Alberta Health Services. The workshop will discuss stress response, identifyin­g warning signs, how to make an action plan, how emotions impact the body, brain and overall health, and breathing techniques. October 24-25-Brooks

The Brooks Gun Show will be taking place at the JBS Canada Centre and will feature a display of guns, knives, shooting supplies, collector items, items for archery, fishing supplies, custom handmade cabinets, wild game jerky and much more. All provincial firearm ordinances and laws must be obeyed. The event will run from 10 am- 5 pm on Sat., Oct. 24 and from 10 am-3 pm on Oct. 25.
