Celebrating farming families during Family Week

- By Paige Straf, AAg, Intern Extension Agrologist, Moose Jaw

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture is proud to present a new virtual event this year – Celebrating Farming Families! Celebrating Farming Families is an informative webinar series for the entire family. In Saskatchewan, we know how important agriculture is to families and how important families are to agriculture. This series is an opportunity to connect with others that may be going through many of the same experiences as your farm family. This includes celebrating successes while gathering tips that could benefit your operation.

This virtual event is free to attend. To correspond with the Family Day holiday, the webinar series will be hosted from Feb. 16-19. The event will cover topics appealing to both grain and cattle farmers, such as safe cattle handling, mental health on the farm, crop fertility and rotations, fair vs. equal succession planning and marketing your family business through social media.

Please use the links below to register for the sessions. You will have to register for each session individually. Webinars will be recorded live. Note that you must be registered for the webinar to receive the recording if you wish to watch at a later date. This is an event that you don’t want to miss as there will be something for everyone!
