Five virtual sessions are being offered, each tailored to the unique challenges operations may face.
Virtual Session 1
Crop Producers – South – March 2 – 6:30-8 p.m.
Considering risk management options for your operation can be complex even in a typical year. Throw in drought, market fluctuations, or a global pandemic and it can be downright confusing. In this session, we will discuss how AgriStability can work in concert with crop insurance or private insurance options, with a focus on the unique conditions faced while operating in southern Alberta.
Virtual Session 2
Intensive Livestock Feeding Operations / Custom Feeding – March 4 – 6:30-8 p.m.
AFSC and MNP program experts will discuss the impact of risks such as market and trade uncertainty and disease and mortality for your livestock operation. We welcome all types of livestock producers, including cattle, hogs, bison and custom operations.
Virtual Session 3
Diversified Farms / Colonies
– March 9 – 6:30 – 8 p.m.
Join program experts from AFSC and MNP for a look at risk management and how to use these tools to safeguard the stability and long-term health of your operation. Discussion will focus on diversified farms, including Colonies with a mix of crop and livestock commodities. Cow-calf producers are also welcome to join this session.
Virtual Session 4

In this session, we discuss how AgriStability can work in concert with crop insurance or private insurance options, with a focus on the unique conditions faced while operating in northern Alberta.
Virtual Session 5
Operations including Greenhouses, Fruits & Vegetables, Nurseries/Tree Farms, Bees & Honey, Livestock – Bison, Elk, Sheep, and Supply Managed – Dairy & Poultry – March 11 – 6:30-8 p.m.
Join us as we discuss AgriStability and other risk management programs and look at how they can work on your farm. This session is geared towards producers in the less traditional agricultural industries, such as greenhouse, honey, bison and more.
