February 28-Swift Current

The Swift Current Branch Library is excited to be starting up our Maker Kid’s Space program again Mondays, February 14 and 28 at 4 pm. This is a hands-on opportunit­y for kids ages 9-12 to tinker and explore. Join us to explore STEM topics like building a computer, Snap Circuits, Little Bits, Sphero robots, and much more! The SC Oratorio Choir rehearses Monday evenings from 7:30 - 9:30 at Zion Mennonite Church, 6th NE & Cheadle. All voices most welcome as we prepare for an end of April performanc­e. Choral music is great to lift the spirits, so check us out!

Join the Swift Current Branch Library for S.T.E.M. Storytime on Tuesdays at 6:30 pm. This weekly program is an interactiv­e Literacy and S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineerin­g and Math) family program. Children ages 3 and up can join Cori and Tekeyla for a picture book story, some rhymes and songs and a S.T.E.M related activity. Learn to play Mahjong at the Swift Current Branch Library every Wednesday morning at 10:15 am. The game is played with a set of 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols and is very similar to the card game rummy.
