Swift Current Municipal Detachment off the RCMP's synopsis of calls for service: FEBRUARY-25

4:24 PM - while on patrol officers issued a written warning to the driver of a white Ford F150 for operating a motor vehicle while holding, viewing, using or manipulati­ng an electronic communicat­ion device. 4:52 PM - while on patrol officers issued a ticket to the driver of a brown Dodge Durango for holding an electronic communicat­ion device while operating a motor vehicle.

5:27 PM - while on patrol officers issued a written warning to the driver of a black Chevrolet Equinox for speeding. FEBRUARY-26

1 :42 AM - report of the caller's minor daughter leaving the residence after being asked by the caller to review her social media account. While police were speaking with the mother the daughter returned home. The mother was connected to Social Services as she expressed some frustratio­ns with the daughter's recent behaviour. 5:24 AM - report of a suspicious black car reversing up to the gate at a business on the #4 Highway and then appeared to be unloading something from the trunk of the vehicle. Police made patrols but did not locate the vehicle.

11:38 AM - while on patrol officers issued a written warning to the driver of a black Dodge Ram for operating a motor vehicle while holding, viewing, using or manipulati­ng an electronic communicat­ion device.

11:54 AM - while on patrol officers issued a written warning to the driver of a red Hyundai Santa Fe operating a motor vehicle while holding, viewing, using or manipulati­ng an electronic communicat­ion device.

12:40 PM - report of someone being in the caller's yard sometime overnight leaving large footprints. Police attended the residence and confirmed nothing had been taken and it did not appear there was an attempt to gain entry to the property. Police suggested the caller look at having cameras installed around the home.

5:18 PM - report of a downed light pole on the 200 block of South Service Road E. The caller advised there were no vehicles nearby and only tire tracks into the ditch could be seen. An unknown truck had come by and moved the pole from the road way but the light head was still on the street. Police attended and confirmed everything was cleared from the road and contacted City of Swift Current Light and Power to notify them of the damaged pole. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

7:08 PM - report of a possibly impaired driver in a blue car. The caller advised the driver was wearing a hat but was unable to provide any other informatio­n about the vehicle. Police made patrols but did not locate the car.

9:27 PM - report of the caller's friend receiving a notificati­on from one of his camera sensors that three men had broken into his residence. Officers attended the home, confirmed no one was inside and no damage had occurred to the property. Further investigat­ion revealed that one of the friend's roommates had asked someone to go get her dog from the residence, no break and enter had occurred.

10 PM - request to conduct a wellbeing check on a female after she had missed an appointmen­t earlier in the day. Police attended the female's residence and no one was home. Police attended the residence again the following day, the female was home, she had been out of town. FEBRUARY-27

12:34 AM - report of a possibly suicidal individual. While attempting to locate the individual police spoke with one of their friends who advised they'd taken them to the hospital for evaluation. Police confirmed this with the hospital.

5:18 PM - 911 call from a female advising she has a leg injury but was refusing an ambulance and then told call takers she would contact her son to take her to the hospital. Police spoke with the caller who advised it was an injury she'd sustained in January and her son was there now helping her.
