Alberta Invasive Species Council Conference next week
The Alberta Invasive Species Council’s (AISC’s) 2022 Conference and Annual General Meeting next week will address many pertinent issues in Southern Alberta March 14-18.
Just as invasive species are found worldwide, so are the speakers presenting at the conference.
Topics include whirling disease, zebra mussels and infested moss balls, honey bee health, wild boar at large, economic impacts of invasive species, biological control, chronic wasting disease and the list goes on.
AIS management knows people are keen to get back to in-person meetings, but they are taking advantage of the virtual format with breakout sessions, panel discussions from speakers and presentations on recent graduate research.
This conference starting at 8:30 a.m. until lunchtime, they will be host the conference so all can see no matter what part of the province.
Registration is $100 for members and memberships are $35, but anyone is welcome to attend. Registrants will receive exclusive access to recordings of all presentations that can be watched on-demand.
