The Chinook Regional Library is celebratin­g Métis culture and traditions with several fun activities at the Swift Current Branch Library during March. The event kicked off on March 5 with a Red River cart building workshop presented by well-known cart builder George Fayant. Other activities during the month include a traditiona­l beading workshop presented by Métis artist Tekeyla Friday in two sessions on March 12 and 19, and a traditiona­l jigging workshop on March 26 with Creeland dance instructor­s Amy Seesequasi­s and Angel Prosper.
