Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit arrest male on 42 outstanding charges

On Oct. 26, Southern Alberta Emergency Response Team, with the assistance of Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit and Coronation RCMP, executed a warrant of arrest for Kristopher Ronald Neergaard (52), a resident of Didsbury, Alta. Neergaard had been actively evading police.

Neergaard was wanted on 42 outstanding criminal charges, some of which include:

• Possession for the purpose of trafficking

• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

• Possession of a prohibited weapon

• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 Neergaard has been remanded into custody and will be appearing in Red Deer Provincial Court on Oct. 31, 2022.

RCMP would like to acknowledge that the residents of Coronation were very helpful to police and aided in the successful apprehension of Neergaard.
