2023 Community Impact Award Workshop will be hosted by CFSEA
The Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta will be hosting a virtual workshop on April 4, 2023, at 10 a.m. for those interested in applying for the 2023 Community Impact Award. The Community Impact Award is a $25,000 grant designed for agencies with innovative project ideas that show creativity and leadership in supporting a vibrant, healthy, and caring community. Deadline for applications is April 17th, at 12 p.m.
Using information from CFSEA’s 2022 Vital Conversation, projects that address the following priorities are invited to apply:
• Work & Economy
• Mental Health
• Vulnerable Populations – Food Security, Housing Stability, and Domestic Violence
Please note:
• Successful projects may be applicable to receive funding over a maximum of two (2) years.
• A final report will be due within 18 months of receiving the grant.
• The recipient will have an opportunity to present on the impact of their project at the following year’s Vital event. "The Community Leadership Committee for the Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta is pleased to accept applications for the Community Impact Award and is excited to support successful applicants in the implementation of their innovative ideas. In the past, the Community Impact Award has helped to fund projects addressing key target issues, including mental health and vulnerable populations. With this award, we aim to continue funding innovative ideas to support the identified needs of the community,” said Josh Hudson, CFSEA Community Leadership Committee Chair.
In awarding grants, CFSEA conducts a comprehensive procedure to determine the most crucial community needs from data and evidence-based practice. Grants are then awarded based on potential impact and fund availability. The Community Impact Award is an annual grant which opens to applications each Spring.
